Day Tours

 

Wakeful Walking

Trip length: 4 hours
Rating: easy or moderate

Owner, Cathy Shill, can share her insight and awareness using simple tools to make your time on the trail more beneficial. By connecting to breath and body in a mindful way, you learn how to stay present and reap greater rewards. Trip is customized to your experience and guaranteed to share some "ah-ha" moments. With energy and breath work, you will deepen your outdoor experience.

Tours recommended to depart at 7 am
$95 per adult based on two or more in group
This trip is offered for FREE on the second Wednesday of the month, June through September, 5:30-7:00 pm. Offered in conjunction with Teton County Parks and Recreation.  Email or call for more information.

 

Yoga & Hiking

Trip length: 4 hours
Rating: all levels

Join biologist and yoga instructor, Jill LeBlanc, to explore nature and the connection between breath and body. With a variety of yoga poses, Jill will touch your inner self and the spaciousness within. As your energy grows so does your awareness of the natural world and yourself so join us to reach your next level.

$95 per adult based on two or more in group
Includes yoga mat, breath and body focus, customized to skill level, beginner’s welcome.

 

Animal Connection-Wild Synergy

Trip length: 8 hours
Rating: all levels

A once in a life time experience! Journey to a sacred garden where man and animal connect with mutual respect for each other and the earth. Touch the richness and mystery of life through interspecies connection within the garden and the natural world.

Meet wild animals of the area - bears, wolves and more, in the intimate setting of Earthfire Institute Wildlife Sanctuary and Retreat Center. After several remarkable interspecies meetings you will hike in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem to further connect with the landscape and the environment that these amazing animals call home.

8 am- 4 pm
$295 per person (based on four or more in group)
Ages 12 and older

Earthfire Institute is a non-profit organization and a large percentage of the proceeds are used to feed the animals. The Hole Hiking Experience donates 10% of proceeds for the animals.

Welcome event at Teton Mountain Lodge & Spa to register, meet and greet. Introduction to to the weekend will be followed by a one-hour restorative yoga session. 4:30-6:30 pm

9:15-10:15 am Yoga Session
10:45-4:15 pm Hiking – explore the natural world with biologist Cathy Shill; align with nature, enliven your senses. Activity level is moderate. Lunch included.

12:30-4:30 pm Hiking – experience the transition into fall by setting an intention, and connecting to breath while surrounded by the radiance of fall colors. Activity level is moderate. Lunch included.

About Cathy Shill of The Hole Hiking Experience:

Cathy has been sharing the natural world for over 25 years. Her passion stems from a biology degree and a connection to the natural world making her an engaging leader and interpreter. She has traveled to Kilimanjaro, the Galapagos Islands, Italy, New Zealand, Nepal and Bhutan. She focuses on trekking with natural exploration and cultural experiences. She lives with spiritual, mental and physical balance as she pursues meditation, yoga, qi gong and a universal connection to all life.

 

About Jill LeBlanc, Yoga Instructor and Nature Interpreter:

Jill primarily teaches Hatha and Vinyasa styles of yoga, finding the combined invigorating flow of movement and breath helps students to focus and calm the mind.  She began her practice in 1997 with Ashtanga, discovering the benefits of balancing mental and emotional energy. She gathers inspiration from various styles of yoga: Jivamukti, Therapy, Restorative, Kripalu and Kundalini. 

Jill currently holds a 200-hour Teacher Certification with Lahiri School of Yoga and is registered with the Yoga Alliance. Jill feels a deep connection to nature so with gratitude she shares the natural world and teaches yoga to balance, replenish and restore oneself.

 

About Chef Kevin Humphreys Locavore Dinner:

The farm-to-table movement is gaining momentum on both sides of the Tetons and despite a more challenging growing environment, Idaho and Wyoming typically produce the following goods which may be found at the Indian Summer Locavore Dinner:

-Mountain Valley Mushrooms: Shitakes and King Oyster and Wyomatoes

-Organic Grass-Fed Wyoming Beef and Black Canyon Elk

-Teton Valley Creamery for cheese, dairy and custom milk

Local produce that could appear on the menu include:
-Braising greens, Lettuces and Carrots
